To keep you safe we will periodically review your medications to ensure that you receive the most appropriate treatment based on your latest health status and up to date evidence about what is most effective. That means previously recommended drugs and other prescribed items can sometimes change.
Patients on repeat medication will usually be asked to see one of our pharmacists for their review, although sometimes they may need to see a doctor or another member of our clinical team. Reviews usually happen at least once a year to discuss your regular medications, carry out monitoring tests, and then re-authorise the drugs on repeat at the correct dose. We will let you know about your medication review either via text message or a written notification on your repeat slip.
Non-urgent advice: Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions
If you do not attend the review your condition may have changed and it may be unsafe to continue to issue you with repeat medications that may not be right for you.
